“WHOM TO CALL AND WHEN”
911 – LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCIES. If there is any doubt in your mind about who to call
and you believe the situation needs to be addressed right away, call 911 and the call will be
routed to the appropriate police division.
SFPD – Non emergency number to central dispatching. Calls to this number may result in either
SFPD from Taraval Station or SFSU police response due to our proximity to SFSU.
SFSU 24 hour police line – The Department of Public Safety encourages reporting of the
following types of activities:
• Anyone tampering with an automobile or peering into cars.
• A stranger loitering about your neighborhood
• Anyone hiding in bushes or other shrubbery.
• Someone testing doors as they walk down the street.
• A person screaming or calling for help
• The sound of breaking glass
• A person carrying property out of a house, especially at an unusual hour.
• A traffic accident.
• A loud explosion or gunshots.
REMEMBER- Do not attempt to explain or rationalize unusual circumstances or behavior.
Courtesy Patrol - After dark escorts--the Courtesy Patrol will also follow tenants from Garages to
Tower Apartments. Tenants may not ride in the Courtesy Patrol cars. Call for lockouts, vehicle
tows, storage requests, suspicious people, and noise complaints. Please remember to call
Courtesy Patrol (415) 405-4690 in addition to calling SFPD or the SFSU Police.
