Approval of Agenda: Move to approve by Mike Smith and seconded by Jim Coppfer
President’s Report: Robert Pender announced that he had attended a meeting for Tom Ammiano and at that
meeting he distributed copies of our newsletter regarding the issues with SFSU. At that meeting he also talked to
Carole Midgen, Matt Gonzales and Debra Walker head of the commission that oversees the building department,
Summer Graham was introduced and spoke briefly of her position in the Mayor’s Office and stated that she is
aware of issues regarding SFSU and would like to hear more regarding this and be a resource to PRO regarding
this. She also indicated that she is the Liaison to Districts 1, 2 and 7 and gave her direct line phone number as
(415) 554-6148 and her email as summer.graham@sfgov.org.
Secretary’s Report: The minutes of the meeting May 6, 2007 were only distributed tonight it was recommended
by Daniel Philips that approval be postponed until the meeting of July 15, 2007. The motion was made by Mike
Smith and seconded by Lora Traveler.
Treasurer’s Report: There was no Treasurer’s report.
Announcements: Daniel Phillips reported that Norma Hall is resigning due to personal reasons.
New Business: Daniel Phillips reported that he had received a response from Jason Porth of SFSU regarding
the recent editorial in our newsletter regarding President Corrigan. Daniel indicated that he and Jason had
discussed te matter on the phone, but they could only “agree to disagree.” A letter of rebuttal will be sent by
Jason responding to this issue.
A discussion followed regarding the need to find new Board Members and how this might be accomplished. A
motion was made by Lora Traveler that recruitment tables be set up at future General Member meetings and at
the Farmers Market. The motion was seconded by Jean Moore-Woods.
Safety Committee Report: Mike Smith reported that the next Neighborhood Watch meeting would be held
during the first or second week of August.
Date of next meeting: The next Board of Directors Meeting will be held Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 1:30 PM at 5
Josepha AVE.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
