Approval of Minutes
Moved by Lora Traveler, second by Henry Tyldsley--Passed unanimously

Treasurers Report:
 Postponed to next meeting

Presidents report:  Postponed to next meeting

Old Business:  We still have funding issues on rental space for PRO archives.  Aaron Goodman suggested
more fund raising
efforts prior to expenditure, but noted the need for office site space.  Item tabled.  This is
to be discussed further at the next meeting

Daniel. W. Phillips’
proposal of membership fee changes:  Individual Membership: $25.00 for one
person per year;
Household Membership:  $35.00 per household for year with multiple members (this
replaces older system of including spouses and partnerships. Instead of an apparent rate increase it is a
new level of membership.)
Business Membership: $50.00 Initial rate for business which would include a
mini ad in first issue of PRO Insider published after member joins;
Patron: $100.00 -$200.00 For members
exceeding initial member rates with other donations would include a notice in first issue of PRO Insider
published after member joins, unless there is a specific request for anonymity;
Benefactor: over $200.00
contributed in one lump sum. This level includes lifetime membership.  (The Board has the authority to act
on these changes without a General Membership referendum.)
 Lora Traveler recommended the business
rate be $100, and the patron rate be $150.  Henry Tyldsley noted “existing” members and lifetime members.

New Business:
Consideration to include University Park North and John Muir Drive (Lakeside) apartments in our
membership would involve by law changes.
Lora Traveler expressed concerns about work load to the
members at PRO.
Aaron Goodman expressed the desire to remain and “open” tenants group due to the
lack of volunteer effort and “participation” by existing tenants.

Spring/Summer Events and Fund raiser were also mentioned:  Some items already discussed at SFSU
Taskforce regarding more social events with PRO as main sponsor.  Other suggestions:  Auction, Bingo,
and a Music Festival. This is to be discussed by the Outreach Committee before the next board meeting in
order to reach a decision.

PRO has the option of joining the Coalition of San Francisco Neighborhoods (CSFN).
The CSFN application
is pending submittal.
There are some concerns raised that at CSFN meetings members are required to
cosponsor, this would be an increase in cost PRO.
Aaron Goodman mentioned that the benefits of joining
CSFN included having Parkmerced included as a neighborhood in the CSFN group.  PRO would have to be
represented at the CSFN ExComm and General meeting.

Farmers Market Endorsement:  Some residents complain about parking near 405 Serrano Drive.  Lora
Traveler suggested that the farmers market be relocated near Vidal Drive and Higuera Avenue,,
or other
options looked at by Parkmerced Investors LLC.

Minors in Exercise Rooms: Youngsters are not supervised, thus creating concern about damage or injury
to themselves or equipment.
Aaron Good man mentioned noise caused by dropping weights, and access to
room.  This is similar to enforcement situations in Playgrounds at Parkmerced

PRO Suggestion Topics for April 21st meeting with Mr. Rosania:
1.  Location of Farmers Market
2.  Tower reconstruction:  baseboards, painting, and wall construction presented a health problem
3.  Disabled and 20 minute parking throughout the Parkmerced community is not being enforced
4.  Discontinuing portions of the 17 bus route in Parkmerced is problematic to seniors and the disabled
5.  Because of break-In issues in the car ports an increase in patrols is needed.
6.  There is concern about pet breeds allowed in Parkmerced and the noise and other pollution from the
animals
—enforcement/call safety director.

Scott Rutherford, Cypress Security, the new Safety Director for Parkmerced presented information on
improvements in security at Parkmerced.

Up Coming Events:  Aaron Goodman reminded members that the environmental Impact Report for
Parkmerced Development is expected in May.  Leland Yee’s Pancake Breakfast at 825 Brotherhood Way--
