                                          Parkmerced Residents Organization Board Meeting

Meeting began:  7:20

Members Present:
 Jim Coppfer, Terence Faulkner, Annamarie Hewson, Daniel W. Phillips, Earl. E.
Somers, Susan Spector, Henry Tyldsley

Members Absent:  Aaron Goodman, Jean Moore-Woods, Healani Ting, Lora Traveler, Ralph Weddington

Members Excused:  Cathy Lentz and Robert Pender

Secretary Report:  Minutes compiled by Aaron Goodman. Motion to accept minutes by Susan Spector

Treasures Report:  We are low on funds.  It costs $600-700 to print newsletter because it is sent to every
resident at Parkmerced

Previous Meeting Business: The Bar Association requirements to serve PRO as a non-profit are
currently not possible because we serve all residents regardless of income class.

New Business: Rewording of bylaws replacing the term “tenants” with “residents” is table until the General
Member Ship meeting in January or later.  Research is still being done to determine what, if any, legal
consequences would result.

CLOSED SESSION:   Daniel W. Phillips: “XXXXXXX has been observed posting stickers on the Parkmerced
property.  This reflects poorly n the PRO Membership.  At this time we will only register a rebuke, but
remember that if there is continued vandalism we will take stronger actions up and including impeachment.”

Terence Faulkner said that believes the bumper stickers are factually incorrect.

GUEST:  Gerardo Sandoval addressed the board about his campaign for Superior Court Judge Position in
San Francisco.  He will be a gust at the Next General Membership meeting.

The formal meeting ended and the board developed an agenda for the Joint Meeting with the Parkmerced
Management Team.  We will also be meeting the new General Manager, Tom Holman.

The following issues will be addressed:

1.        Henry Tyldsley proposed the issue about the false fire alarms at 810 Gonzalez.
2.        Susan Spector would like to address increased patrol on Friday and Saturday night do to noise
pollution.
3.         The issue of penthouses on the 10th,11th, and 12th  floors as purchasable units and condo
conversion in the towers  [Erroneous Rumor]
4.         Henry Tyldsley mentioned the condition on the tower storage rooms where the lockers are located.
There have been issues of water leaks, electronic keys not working, and the rodents that are present.
5.        Susan Spector and Jim Coppfer propose  the car garage entrance should be created on one side
and the other should be the exit because of the new installation of the automatic openers on the North and
South side
6.         Henry Tyldsley: that the uses of the trash cans in the mail rooms should only be used for junk mail
not garbage.
7.        Daniel W. Phillips proposed more enforcement on parking regulations on private property (3hr
parking, etc.) and to re-stencil the “fire lane” so that vehicles may be towed.
8.        Daniel W. Phillips also would like to add cork board for residents to post notices in their buildings
9.        Jim Coppfer proposes that the Gym should be opened earlier in the mornings
10.        Henry Tyldsley would like more maintenance on garbage smells lingering to others apartments  
YARD SALE:  on Saturday the 27th at the Park Plaza.  We need of donations.  The proceeds go to benefit
The Parkmerced Resident’s Organization.  The yard sale is form 8am-12 noon.
