There are many ways to become involved with PRO. First and foremost is
membership. Join PRO. The $25.00 annual fee aids in publishing our newsletters
and other information for tenants at Parkmerced. Certainly it's easy to expect others
to take care of business for you, but remember that our strength is in our numbers
when it comes to the bargaining table.
Volunteering with PRO is a satisfying endeavor. You help not only yourself, but your
neighbors. Remember that this community service, tenants organization is a
collaborative effort involving all bona fide tenants over the age of 18.
Being involved includes knowing your rights as a tenant. You may not always receive
full disclosure when dealing with management. You do have a responsibility to know
your rights as a tenant.
PRO is also actively involved with Neighborhood Safety through the Neighborhood
Watch program. Neighborhood Watch is supported by Safety Awareness For
Everyone (SAFE), a part of the San Francisco Police Department. We also publish a
daily report from the Taraval police regarding crime issues.

limited calling projects--usually reminder calls before General Membership meetings.
