ARTICLE VIII
AMENDMENT TO THE BY-LAWS
SECTION 1: Procedure
(a) The By-Laws of The PRO may be amended from time to time upon
recommendation from the Board of Directors to The PRO membership.
(b) Such recommendation shall be submitted in writing to The PRO
members at least thirty (30) days in advance of a regular membership
meeting.
(c) Such recommendation from the Board of Directors shall set forth the
By-Law to be changed, the proposed amendment and a short explanation.
(d) Action on the proposed amendment by vote of the membership shall
occur at the first regular membership meeting scheduled following the thirty
(30) day written notice given to The PRO members.
(e) The amendment shall be adopted upon a majority vote of The PRO
members in attendance at the regular membership meeting where the
proposed amendment is presented.
SECTION 2: Copies of the By-Laws
(a) The By-Laws will be updated as needed in accordance with the
procedures set forth in Section 1.
(b) Copies of the By-Laws are available to The PRO members upon
written request.
(c) A Copy of the By-laws will also posted on The PRO Website.
ARTICLE IX
DISSOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
If The Board of Directors or The General Membership vote, by a simple
majority, to dissolve the organization; all assets and resources will be
donated to The San Francisco Tenants Union (SFTU) 558 Capp Street,
San Francisco, CA 94110-2516.
These By-laws were established January 1, 2011.
