(c) To monitor the annual election, count ballots and make a report to the
Board at its November meeting.
SECTION 3: Finance Committee
The duties of the Finance Committee shall include:
(a) To assist the Treasurer as needed in the monitoring of The PRO's
bank accounts and investments.
(b) To prepare and present a financial report to the Board at its
December meeting each year.
(c) To make annual written recommendations regarding financial
investments to the Board at its December meeting.
(d) To prepare and present a proposed operating budget to the Board at
its January meeting.
(e) To prepare and timely submit all annual reports required by state and
federal agencies.
SECTION 4: Membership Committee
The duties of the Membership Committee shall include:
(a) To develop and maintain an adequate record-keeping system for
membership records in accordance with these By-Laws.
(b) To report monthly to the Treasurer regarding membership renewals
and deliver all monies collected from members to the Treasurer.
(c) To develop a program directed at membership renewal and
membership recruitment and to present such proposals along with budget
requests to the Board for approval in December.
SECTION 5: Residents' Issues Committee
The duties of the Residents' Issues Committee shall include:
(a) To develop an outreach program so that residents in all geographic
areas in Parkmerced have representation on the Committee by which to
address their concerns.
(b) To assist the President in meetings with Parkmerced management.
(c) To sponsor at least one educational workshop per year to address
legal issues or major resident concerns.
(d) To prepare and distribute a residents' issues survey at the October
membership meeting designed to determine major resident concerns.
(e) To gather data and prepare recommendations on how to solve
resident problems and to present such a report to the Board on at least a
quarterly basis.
(f) To submit an annual budget request to the Board in December of each
year for funds needed to address resident concerns.
