| ARTICLE V OFFICERS |
SECTION 1: Officers
(a) The officers of the organization shall be a President, two (2) Vice
Presidents, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a Sergeant at Arms, and a
parliamentarian.
(b) The officers shall be elected by the Board of Directors from among
those Directors currently serving on the Board.
(c) Election of officers shall take place at the regular meeting of the
Board in January of each year.
(d) Officers shall serve a one (1) year term.
(e) Any officer may resign at any time upon written notice to the Board
at one of its regular monthly meetings.
(f) The Board, by majority vote, may elect a different Director as a
mid-term replacement in the event an officer resigns or is removed from
office as set forth in Article IV, Section 4.
SECTION 2: Duties of the President
(a) The duties of the President shall include the following:
1. To preside at the monthly meetings.
2. To meet with Parkmerced management on at least a quarterly basis to
help resolve tenant concerns and community problems.
3. To serve as the liaison person between PRO and other tenant/resident
organizations.
4. To serve as an ex officio member on all PRO Standing Committees.
5. To handle the general correspondence on behalf of PRO to Parkmerced
management, legal advisors, legislative officials and other persons as
designated by the Board.
(b) These duties may be modified at the request of the Board.
